    As a Quantity Surveyor with expertise in the social housing industry, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of our projects

    The role involves meticulous cost management, procurement, and contract administration, with a specific focus on working with Schedule of Rates

    General responsibilities include:

    Cost Management:

    → Develop and maintain detailed cost plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with budgetary constraints

    → Monitor and control project costs throughout the entire construction lifecycle

    → Conduct regular cost analyses and provide timely reports to project stakeholders

    Procurement:

    → Lead the procurement process for subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and conditions

    → Evaluate and award contracts in accordance with project requirements and company policies

    → Collaborate with the procurement team to maintain an up-to-date and reliable supplier database

    Schedule of Rates:

    → Utilise expertise in working with Schedule of Rates to estimate costs and prepare tender documents

    → Review and validate Schedule of Rates to ensure accuracy and relevance to project specifications

    → Collaborate with project teams to optimise the use of Schedule of Rates for cost-effective project delivery

    Contract Administration:

    → Administer and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions

    → Resolve contractual disputes and issues promptly and efficiently.

    → Provide guidance on contract variations, claims, and final accounts

    Collaboration:

    → Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives

    → Participate in regular project meetings to provide cost-related updates and insights

    Qualifications and Experience:

    → Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the social housing industry

    → In-depth knowledge and experience working with Schedule of Rates

    → Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes

    → Excellent negotiation and communication skills

    → Proficient in relevant software and tools, such as cost estimation software and project management tools

  • Electrical Supervisor (Thurrock / Dartford)

    → £46,500 per annum

    → To deliver and maintain a vision of excellence to our clients and customers.

    → To be receptive to the 'Quality Control' and 'Health and Safety' plan whilst receiving coaching.

    → Carry out duties in line with the business expectations, policy and procedure.

    → Self-manage first time fix, recall rates and escalating visits.
